Nathalie Emmanuel
Nathalie Emmanuel is a British actress best known as Missandei in HBO's huge adventure "Game of Thrones". (HBO 2011-19). Born and raised in Southend-on-the-Sea an ocean-side holiday town in Essex, Emmanuel was drawn to acting from a young age. The mother of her daughter was immediately impressed at her talent, and as young Nathalie was just three years old, parents began enrolling her in acting, singing and dancing classes. Emmanuel was quickly developing as a performer, and by the end of her 90s, she was playing a young Nala for the West End show of the well-known production of the musical "The Lion King." Emmanuel auditioned for roles in both television and films when she was in her teens. The first time she was noticed was 2007, when she was selected to be Sasha Valentine, a British soap-opera "Hollyoaks", (Channel 4 95--). Emmanuel played the character for four seasons, leaving the series in 2010. The next major breakthrough for Emmanuel came three years later when she was selected to play Missandei in the role of interpreter for the character Daenerys Targaryen (portrayed by Emilia Clarke), on HBO's "Game of Thrones." Emmanuel was a integral part of every seasons of HBO's "Game of Thrones" until the final episode on May 19, 2019.
