LeonaLeona Louise Lewis, born 3rd April 1985, is an actor, singer, and activist from Britain. Her birthplace was in the London Borough Of Islington she went to the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology, Croydon. Lewis achieved national recognition by winning the third season of The X Factor in 2006 she was awarded a PS1 million recording deal in partnership with Syco Music. An original Kelly Clarkson song"A Moment Like This" was the winner. It surpassed 50,000 digital downloads in less than 30 minutes and peaked at No. 1 for the duration of 4 weeks. In February 2007, Lewis signed a five-album contract with the United States with Clive Davis's record label, J Records. Lewis's successes continued when she released her debut album, Spirit (2007). It was certified platinum in the UK and became the fourth most-sold album of the 2000s. According to the Official Charts Company, Spirit is the best-selling debut album by a female artist to date in the 21st century. The first single, "Bleeding Love", had a run of seven weeks at the top of the charts at first in UK and was the highest-selling single in 2007. It also was the biggest-selling track in the US the same year. Lewis won the Billboard Best New Artist Award next year. Echo is her second studio album. The album also featured the track "I I See You" to accompany Avatar. Lewis's song "Collide" has been an impromptu collaboration with Swedish DJ Avicii and she released Hurt The EP, her first long-form play. Glassheart (2012) was Lewis her the third album of her studio. It's an innovative new direction. Lewis draws inspiration from dubstep as well as electronic music. The singer began recording material for her debut Christmas album during her Glassheart Tour, which took between mid 2013 and. Later that year, Christmas with Love was released, and included the title track "One more night" came in at number three within the UK. Lewis, an British solo female artist was the first female artist to reach the top five with eight songs. This is more than Olivia Newton John's seven-year record.
